Missouri Career Center Mobile Unit – Providing more opportunities for both job seekers and employers to use the services without having to travel regularly to Springfield or Branson.  The Mobile Unit is located in the Young’s Shopping Center (Price Cutter and Dollar General lot) at 900 W. Washington. 

 

Friday, Saturday & Sunday, July 2, 3 & 4 - Marshfield's Independence Day Rodeo - This year the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a three night rodeo.  This is a fun filled family entertainment with Bull Riders, Barrel Racers, Ropers, Bareback and Bronc Riders & more!

Enjoy the spectacular fireworks display on Sunday, July 4th (following barrel racing).  Again this year CenturyLink is sponsoring 3D Glasses to the first 500 through the gate to add a little extra pizzazz to the fireworks!

The crowning of the Rodeo Queen and Princess contest will be Sunday, July 4th and the results of the 1st Annual Little Mr. & Miss Cowpoke will be announced.

Saturday, July 3rd - 131st Independence Day Parade in Marshfield, MoThe theme this year is “Star Spangled Celebration”. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the reading of the Declaration of Independence at 12:00 noon or following the end of the parade.  The celebration begins much earlier on the Square in Marshfield with vendor booths open for business around 8 am.  Enjoy the sight of red, white and blue everywhere you look, the sound of patriotic music and the smell of corn dogs, funnel cakes and BBQ in the air.  Marshfield, Missouri is the place to be to celebrate our independence, see old acquaintances or make new friends.  For more information, parade or vendor application click here

 

Saturday, July 3rd - Callaway Cabin will be open from 12:00 Noon through 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 4th - Callaway Cabin Dedication at 2:00 p.m.The Cabin will also be open from 10:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. before the dedication.  Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the beauty of Hidden Waters Park.  There will be a Ribbon Cutting for the new trail.

Wednesday thru Saturday July 14 - 15 - 16 & 17 -

The 72nd Annual Webster County Fair begins on Wednesday, July 14th and ends on Saturday, July 17th at the Webster County Fairgrounds located at 624 N. Marshall Street in Marshfield, MO. 

All persons 13 years of age and older will be charged $6.00 – All persons ages 6 thru 12 is $3.00 Thursday night ONLY – all persons 12 and under will be admitted free!

Nightly Activities

Wednesday, July 14th features the Demolition Derby at 8:00 pm

Thursday, July 15th is Kid’s Night – Purchase an arm band in advance for $12.00 or pay $15.00 at the fair.  The arm band allows unlimited rides from 6 to 10 pm.  Arm bands can be purchased at Summer Fresh, Marshfield Towing and Kum & Go in Marshfield.

Also on Thursday, July 15th is the Truck Pull which begins at 8:00 pm.

Friday, July 16th enjoy the Tractor Pull at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, July 17th features another Truck Pull at 6:00 pm.

Saturday July 17 - 5th Anniversary for Freda of Freda’s Uptown Café located on 210 W. Jackson.  Enjoy Biscuits & Gravy for 99¢ and Coffee for 50¢. 

 

►►►Wednesday, July 21 Small Business Development meeting from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  at Christenberry’s Tea Room Catering and Gifts.  This is a FREE event, but please call and reserve your spot today at 468-3700.  There will be speakers and info including someone from Liberty Bank, the area’s largest SBA loan provider; from Penmac, information on insurance and info on the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce, showing how to network and grow together and more!  Refreshments will be provided.

Friday, July 30 - Marshfield Community Night as the Springfield Cardinals vs Arkansas at Hammon's Field at 7:10 p.m.

 

Saturday, July 31 – Ozarks Writer and Illustrators for Children (OWAIC) presents the Second Annual Summer Workshop featuring Suzanne Lieurance.  This event will take place at The Library Station on 2535 N. Adult Water Aerobics are available at the Marshfield City Pool during these dates in August:  3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, and 26th

All sessions will be from 6:00 to 6:55 p.m.  Open to ages 15 and older.  Classes are only $2.00 per session.  For more info call 468-7230 or 838-7153.

        Friday, August 6 – Stock Dog Exhibition at 7:00 p.m. at Dr. Vince Caldwell’s arena located approximately 5 miles from Marshfield on Hwy 38 west.  Watch cattle and duck herding.  You can also bring your own dog to work.  The admission is free, but a small stock fee per dog worked is applicable.  For more information call L.         Sunday, August 8 – Poker Run for a Cure for Juvenile Diabetes – Sign in at 2:00 p.m .at the Laclede County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, MO.   Click here for more info or call 417-588-9788 or 417-532-2310   .  All proceeds go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to aide in the quest to find a cure for Juvenile (Type 1) Diabetes.

Saturday, August 28 – First Annual Safety on Wheels hosted by Marshfield Chiropractic from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Marshfield Community Center.  This is an event for children from Toddler to 12 years old.  All children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian and provide their own bike or trike for the safety course.

There will be a drawing for FREE BICYCLESFREE BIKE INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENTS – FREE T-SHIRTS TO THE 1ST 100 KIDSFREE HOT DOGS AND DRINKS (FOR KIDS ONLY) – FREE HELMET TO THE 1ST 200 KIDS – FREE GAMES AND LOTS MORE!
